Our staff was looking this month to pick out a movie that is best suited for our teen population on the spectrum. Their choice? "I used to be famous"
Released on Netflix, I Used to Be Famous centers on a two-man boyband in Peckham who are worlds away from the charismatic teen heartthrobs that usually plaster magazine covers.
Vince (played by Ed Skrein) is a washed-up musician and Stevie (played by Leo Long) is a young, autistic drummer. After an impromptu street jam brings their paths together, Vince eventually tries to atone for his past failures through Stevie.
